Beaver Exchange Passport Program

December 20 @ 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm

All ages
Free, drop-in

The Kamloops Museum and Archives invites families to join us for a playful, hands-on afternoon celebrating one of our most iconic animal neighbours, the beaver. Co-hosted with the Kamloops Art Gallery, this drop-in program is all about creativity, curiosity, and learning together.

Pick up a Beaver Exchange Passport and collect stamps at both the KMA and the KAG for a chance to win a beaver-themed prize. You can start at either location and submit your completed passport at whichever stop you finish at.

At the Kamloops Museum and Archives

Get a close-up look at our permanent taxidermy beaver display and learn more about how beavers shape their environments. Then head to our activity space to build your own edible dam using pretzels, candy rocks, and icing.

At the Kamloops Art Gallery

Explore Maura Doyle’s exhibition Dear Universe and discover how her work connects artistic practice with the beaver’s incredible architectural and environmental skills. In the studio, take part in beaver-inspired art activities, including drawing, habitat collage, and building stamped dam designs with ink.

This program is open to all ages and abilities. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. All materials are provided.

This program is offered in collaboration with the Kamloops Art Gallery.
